Bury Guardians purchased to accommodate boys from workhouse - 16.1.65 Bury Times. Built by Thomas Greenhalgh for one of his sons. Late occupied by Bland family of Blands Foundary, then by Dr. Holmes. Became Boys home. Demolished about 1933. See Bury Times 28.8.1948 p.4. Closed about 1931. Functions of Bury taken over by assitance commitee. Guardians were C.B. of Bury Public. Not mentioned in council minutes after 1931.
