Tottington Court Rolls: Peter Crabtree paid four pennies after trespass of sheep (20) on Dureden (1) in 1534. An Adam Rawsthorne and a Henry Cowopphad charges made against the diverting of streams for their own benefit and the detriment of others. In 1535, 1546 Henry Cowopp is plaintiff against Adam Rawstorne for diversions in Ottersherth and later in the 'higher part of the Eez'. Robert Bothe (Booth) had baked bread contrary to the assize-1516. In 1541 2 farmers paid 2/- each for their fraud in rushing wool to Todmorden rather than Bury. Bolton and District Archeol.
