BT 5/11/1960 obit. Death occured Tues night at home of his son in Newcastle, Mr William Alcock of 27 Talbot Grove, Bury, a former treasurer of Irwell Valley Water Board. Aged 72 he was treasurer of the board from 1927 to 1952 when he retired after 50 yrs service.Member of Walmersley Golf Club and Lowes Park Golf Club. Also member of the Relief Lodge of Freemasons. He leaves a widow and two sons. Cremation at Rochdale 11.20.
