An orphan boy wakes on his bed of straw in a cattle-shed and spends his day looking after market animals, hoping no one will find his hideaway. But that night, he sees a man and a woman with a tiny baby, surrounded by the cattle. Holding the baby's hand, he learns for the first time how it feels to belong.
