Adjoined the present ground of Bury Cricket Club. Hamilton Museum in the gardens kept by the Hamilton Family. Bury & Ross Hist Review Vols 1 & 2. Situated nr level crossing at Buckley Wells. Foundations of Entrance still visible (1974) & possibly traces of pens where animals were kept. Ruins in the undergrowth nr Grammar School playing fields may be the museum. Bury Golf Club on this site before it moved to Unsworth Hall. Possibly compensation may have been paid when railway was built.July 1856 - magistrates prohibited music on Sundays at Victoria Gardens - prop. Stephen Hamilton. Oct 1858 Expiration of lease.
