New Post Former pupil and captain of Bury High School, the Rev. George Bernard Austin, has been appointed to the bebefice of Eaton Bray ( St, Mary the virgin), near Dunstable. The institution will take place on September 15th. Mr Austin, who is the son of Mr O. H. Austin of Wellington road. Bury was formerley curate at St. Peter's, Chorley and St. Clement's, Notting Hill, London. Since 1961 he has been curate at Dunstable Priory Church. After leaving Bury HIgh School, he studied at St. David's College, Lampeter and Chichester Theological College. In 1955 he was ordained at Blackburn Cathedral. Formerly assistant chaplain at London University, Mr Austin has served on the London Diocesan Youth Committee, and has also sat on a television eplilogue panel for a period of four years. He is a governor of Dunstable Secondary Mordern Schools and is also a member of the Dunstable Christian Council executive committee. A book by him, "Life of our Lord", was published in 1960, and he also contributes to the "Church Times" and the "Anglican World".
