Two countries are at war - Ethiopia and Eritrea. Alem's father is Ethiopian and his mother is Eritrean. Caught in the middle, they are seen as enemies of both sides. To save Alem's life his father takes him to London, leaving him in the hands of the Refugee Council and British justice system.
